"Grandmother's House" by Marilyn Leavitt-Imblum (Told in a Garden)

This will be my mother's Christmas present. While the model was stitched on linen, this is done in brown 14-count Aida. I thought that it was technically easy, but I really hated doing the house - it seemed like it took forever! Also, the flower bushes on each side are full of scattered colors - a real pain to count and stitch. The quilts were fun to do - it was a blast to not consult the picture and just have the chart, so the design just "came to life" as I stitched it. It's a very satisfying piece to finish.

Sometimes needlepoint canvases (pre - printed / stamped) are difficult to stitch too.
