More blocks for Don's quilt

Don's quilt is quickly taking shape, as September was my month in my Bee Obsessed group to receive blocks. I told everyone to make them in all shades of brown, so I could add them to the ones I had already made. In addition, I received a few from my Quilters' Message Board swap that could go on the quilt, too.

Quilting Bee Swap - February

I didn't know I hadn't posted these yet! These are my February blocks for the Quilting Bee Swap on the Quilting Message Board. These were made for me by Deb W, who used some fabulous southwestern-colored batiks for these two designs. These are just gorgeous!

Quilting Bee Swap - March

These two blocks were made for me by Laurie S, my March partner for the Quilting Bee Swap on the Quilting Message Board. I like the batik in the mountain block - looks like trees on the mountain. Both of these are great additions to the quilt that will be made from this swap.

Quilting Bee Swap - January

I joined the 2010 Quilting Bee - one block per month swap on the Quilters' Message Board. The concept is pretty neat - I pick a theme for the whole year, but each month a different person makes me a block with my theme. I then get 12 different partners for whom I make a block with each one's chosen theme. My partner for January - and we've already sent and received - was Mary. Her chosen theme was snowmen/women, so I paper-pieced her one of each for her block.

My theme for the year is the out-of-doors (mountains, desert, etc.) so Mary did me a moon over mountain block. Isn't it pretty? Thanks, Mary!
